Thomas’ sessions may also incorporate biodynamic craniosacral therapy, sound healing with singing bowls and tuning forks, hot stone therapy, and personalized herbal medicine.

Thomas’ care extends beyond physical treatment to include somatic awareness practices, body alignment guidance, and tailored lifestyle and dietary recommendations that reflect seasonal and individual needs. Each session is thoughtfully adapted to the unique constitution of the individual, creating a gentle yet powerful healing experience. This practice supports a wide range of concerns, including pain management, nervous system regulation, stress and overwhelm, mental health, sleep issues, digestion, hormonal balance, fertility, pregnancy care, recovery from surgery, and overall vitality. Thomas works with patients across all stages of life and have a particular sensitivity to supporting those who are highly sensitive or neurodivergent, as well as anyone seeking greater balance, resilience, and connection.

At the heart of Thomas’ approach is a commitment to addressing the root causes of imbalance rather than offering temporary relief. By working with both the body and mind, he helps shift long-standing patterns and support lasting transformation. Acupuncture for ICBC Patients in Castlegar

If you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, you are automatically pre-approved by ICBC for up to 12 Registered Acupuncture treatments in the first 12 weeks following an accident.  Registered Acupuncture treatments are recognized by ICBC as part of an approved recovery plan following an accident and you don’t need a doctor’s referral to access treatment, only your ICBC claim number. Treatment during this period is billed directly to ICBC. After the initial 12-week period, continued coverage may be available if appropriate.

Head 2 Toe works with ICBC patients to support healing from accident-related injuries including whiplash, neck and back pain, headaches, nerve pain, and soft tissue damage.

Thomas's integrative approach is well suited to accident recovery. In addition to acupuncture, sessions can incorporate cupping, gua sha, and craniosacral therapy to address both the physical impact of the injury and the nervous system dysregulation that often follows a traumatic event.

We can work directly with your ICBC claim to support your recovery. No referral is needed, simply contact us and we'll help guide you through the process.

Benefits of Acupuncture in Castlegar

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most studied forms of natural medicine, with a growing body of evidence supporting its effectiveness for pain, stress, sleep, hormonal health, and more. By stimulating specific points along the body's meridian pathways, acupuncture encourages the nervous system to release tension, regulate inflammation, and restore the conditions your body needs to heal itself.

Patients often notice improvements not just in the condition they came in for, but in their overall sense of wellbeing. Better sleep, clearer thinking, reduced anxiety, and more stable energy are commonly reported alongside relief from physical symptoms. At Head 2 Toe in Castlegar, Thomas brings this ancient practice to life through a genuinely integrative approach that treats the whole person, not just the presenting complaint.

Frequently Asked Questions

Most patients describe the sensation as a mild pressure, dull ache, or brief tingle at the needle site, not pain. Thomas uses fine, sterile needles and a gentle technique adapted to each person's sensitivity. Many patients find the experience deeply relaxing.

Acupuncture is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and treats the whole person by working with the body's energy pathways (meridians) to restore balance. Dry needling is a Western technique focused primarily on releasing muscle trigger points. Thomas's approach integrates the full depth of TCM theory, addressing root causes rather than isolated symptoms.

Many extended health plans in BC include coverage for acupuncture treatments. Coverage amounts and direct billing availability vary by plan. ICBC patients are eligible for acupuncture following a motor vehicle accident, and initial and subsequent visit codes are available at our clinic.
