As a Registered Acupuncturist, Andrea will often use additional Traditional Chinese Medicine Techniques such as Acupressure, Cupping, Gua Sha, and Tui Na massage during a treatment.​

Andrea is passionate about blending allopathic medicine, eastern medicine and energy healing to bring all aspects of each patient into balance; formulating unique individual treatment plans to support you in living your most empowered life. Andrea’s unique blend of training allows her to see your health from various lenses making connections that may be otherwise overlooked.

 

Areas of specialty include mental health (anxiety/depression), emotional trauma, stress, chronic pain, queer health and complex illness. Andrea is excited to bring her practice to the community of Castlegar and bring her passion of integrative wellness to you.

Mariah graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrated Health Sciences in Nelson B.C. and she is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC.

​

Mariah is attentive to each patient’s specific needs, using a combination of myofascial release, Swedish, trigger point release, muscle energy, deep tissue, and relaxation massage. She is excited to be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping patients find the best treatment solutions.

 

Mariah experienced relief from multidisciplinary modalities and witnessed people in her life have relief from chronic pain. This has drawn her to treating the body as a whole, and integrating the mind-body connection throughout treatments. Mariah is excited to be a part of her client’s journeys.

We are located in the heart of Downtown Castlegar, on 3rd Street, near the Station Museum (between West's department Store & Tacos el Gringos). 

Dr. Sandy has brought together a caring and compassionate team of skilled practitioners and support staff at Head 2 Toe with the goal of providing patients with the highest level of care in a warm and welcoming space.

Please Read Below for our Covid-19 Protocols

Here are some of the steps we are taking to ramp up safety:.

  • Hand sanitizer, hand sanitizer, hand sanitizer-EVERYWHERE!!! It’s our new best friend :) Please sanitize your hands as soon as you enter the clinic and when you enter the treatment rooms

  • Masks are mandatory for Practitioners & Patients because we have to get close and can not maintain a safe distance during treatments etc.

    • Patients can bring their own mask (non-medical/homemade masks are ok)

    • We will provide patients with a surgical mask if needed (they are at reception desk as you enter clinic- Blue side goes out). Please sanitize hands after putting mask on.

    • Practitioners will be wearing surgical masks

  • Glass Reception Area added to help with physical distancing.

  • HEPA Air Purifiers in waiting area and treatment rooms.

  • Frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces throughout the clinic eg. waiting area, chairs, washrooms, doorknobs, debit machines etc.

Before your appointment:

  • Pre-screening is the most important step in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

    • The goal is to identify anyone at risk of spreading Covid-19 and making sure they stay home if they have even the slightest symptoms.

    • Patients should cancel their appointment if they have any of the symptoms listed on the survey that are not related to a known pre-existing condition or a suspected injury. Call us and we can advise how to proceed.

      • If you are not sure if your symptoms qualify, call us and we will assist you.

      • There will be no cancellation fees for Covid related cancellations.

      • Try to give us as much notice as possible, so we can try to fill your spot.

 

  • Please check your email regularly as you will receive a Pre-screening Survey within 24hours of each appointment. This is mandatory.

    • If you don’t fill out the email survey, we will have to call you and screen you over the phone prior to your appointment.

  • Staff is pre-screened daily 

    • Staff will not be able to go to work if they have any symptoms related to Covid-19.

      • We will always err on the side of caution.

      • BC CDC guidelines will be used for monitoring symptoms, determining if testing is required, and assessing when to return to work.

  • Please be accept our apology if we have to cancel your appointment on short notice and be assured that we will reschedule you as soon as possible.
